By blocking peripheral dopamine receptors, it enhances gastrointestinal motility, helping to restore normal tone and coordinated movement of the upper digestive system. It facilitates gastric emptying, improves antral and duodenal peristalsis, and regulates pyloric function, thereby reducing symptoms associated with delayed gastric transit. Apidone also increases esophageal peristalsis and strengthens lower esophageal sphincter pressure, helping prevent reflux of gastric contents.
